This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information collected through www.kidshomefashion.com (Website) and through our other dealings with you.

The personal information we collect about you depends on how you interact with us. It may include:

  • Order and transaction information: products purchased, order value, payment method (we do not store full payment card numbers), delivery information;

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Website is intended for use by adults purchasing nursery furniture.

  • Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal);
  • Freight broker and carriers (Couriers & Freights and the carriers it engages on our behalf);
  • Customer relationship management and email marketing platforms (HubSpot);
  • Analytics and measurement providers (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity);
  • Advertising and conversion measurement platforms (Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, TikTok Pixel, Pinterest tag);
  • Professional advisors (accountants, lawyers, insurers);
  • Government authorities, courts, regulators and law enforcement, where required or authorised by law.

We require our service providers to handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act and only for the purposes for which it has been provided.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, pixels and similar technologies on the Website. These technologies help us:

  • Remember your preferences and keep you signed in;
  • Measure how the Website is used and how our marketing performs;
  • Show you advertisements that may be relevant to you on third-party sites and platforms (including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and the Google Display Network).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Website. You can opt out of personalised advertising through the relevant platform’s ad settings (for example, your Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and Google Ad settings).

7. Direct marketing and your choices

We will only send you marketing communications where the law permits us to do so. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out at any time by emailing info@kidshomefashion.com. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional communications relating to orders you have placed.

8. Overseas disclosure of personal information

Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Australia. The countries where your personal information is likely to be sent include the United States and the European Union, depending on the service provider and the location of its servers. The third parties through which overseas disclosure may occur include the providers identified in clause 5 (in particular HubSpot, Stripe, PayPal, Google, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and Microsoft Clarity).

Where we disclose personal information to overseas recipients we take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient handles your personal information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

9. Data security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. These steps include access controls, password protection, encryption in transit and contractual obligations with our service providers.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our legal obligations, and to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Tax and consumer law obligations generally require us to retain transaction records for at least seven years.

10. Accessing and correcting your personal information

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing info@kidshomefashion.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before providing access. We will not charge for accepting an access request, but we may charge a reasonable fee to cover the cost of supplying the information in some circumstances. If we refuse access or correction, we will give you written reasons.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and will investigate and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or by phone on 1300 363 992.
